This article will discuss podcasts about becoming successful. Podcasts have become necessary for growing any business, whether it’s related to social media, blogging, or growing a startup.

Although starting a podcast doesn’t have to be expensive, the upfront cost is a challenge for many of us.

Over the years, I’ve watched many online entrepreneurs, and many of them started a podcast in the hope of reaching more people and growing their businesses. This article will go over what an effective podcast will include and how to find them.

Finding good podcasts

One of the first things to think about when considering starting a podcast is finding the right ones.

When you’re trying to start a podcast to start a business, research is the first thing to do. What are the podcasts out there?

What will get people’s attention?

Some people suggest getting the attention of a YouTuber first to suggest you to the people they follow. I would consider this a step down the process of being discovered.

The goal of a podcast is to speak to people who are interested in your business.

So if you’re looking to build a podcast that thousands will hear of people, you should first find podcasts highly relevant to your niche.

If your business is niche-oriented, then most likely, there are podcasts about your niche that haven’t yet been discovered. It would help if you worked your way up the food chain of podcasts so you can get the attention of the people who have already been discovered.

In my experience, I’ve found that the people in charge of the podcasting community are usually well connected in the business world and know how to network to find good podcasts.

There are a variety of ways to go about finding podcasts. For most people, I suggest using tools like PodcastInvo.Com, SimplyCast.com, and Podial.com.

These services will help you search for a podcast that fits your niche. If you want to go the traditional route, you can look on iTunes or Google Podcasts to see what’s trending in your niche.

Once you have found some podcasts that interest you, sign up on iTunes to review them.

How to host a podcast

Now that you have found a podcast that’s the perfect fit for your niche, you can start working on creating a podcast yourself. This is the hardest part and the least glamorous part.

I know that many people are intimidated by this part because they have no experience creating a podcast. But my advice to people is that you need to get over it.

Creating a podcast is easy. Creating good podcasts takes a lot of time and practice.

You don’t need to be a technical whiz or know anything about audio engineering. The internet makes it a lot easier to get started.

Simple websites like Overcast.com and Podbean.com make it really simple to record a podcast. But be prepared to spend the first few months learning the ropes.

The best way to get started is to talk to other people who have started their own podcast. Ask them what they did, what went well, and what didn’t.

Listen to their podcast and see what works and what doesn’t. In most cases, you will find that what works well in their podcasts won’t work well in your podcast.

Once you’ve taken a closer look at the podcast you’ve decided to create, write the script. Once you have written the script, record it.

You’ll be surprised how simple and easy it is to record a podcast with just a smartphone. There are lots of apps that make it simple to record a podcast with only your voice.

My favorite one for recording a podcast on a smartphone is Audacity.

Then, upload your podcast to iTunes or Google Podcasts.

Listen to the finished podcast, and see what you think. Then, make changes and edit it as necessary.

If you’re doing it right, then the first time someone listens to your podcast, it should sound great. You may notice things that can be improved later on, but it will be worth it in the end.

How to promote a podcastIt's important to us to support creators, so when using this photo please give photo credit to Kati at xilophotography.com; Instagram @xilophotography. The creator featured can be found on Twitter @csallen. Full story: convertkit.com/courtland.

Once you’ve created your podcast, you’ll want to get it out there. The best way to do this is to promote your podcast on all the social media channels you’re using to promote your website.

You don’t have to do this all at once. When you start working on creating your podcast, it’s important to make sure it’s the best podcast it can be before you promote it.

You want it to be well received, and that will have listeners for a long time to come.

Once you’ve got a few episodes under your belt, then it’s time to go full throttle. Make sure to spend a few hours a week promoting your podcast and following other podcasts in your niche.

By following other podcasts in your niche, you will build a group of listeners interested in what you have to say. This will keep people coming back to listen to you talk about what’s important to you.

And that’s how you’ll build a loyal fan base.

When it comes to using social media to promote your podcast, the three networks I use are:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Slack

Once you’ve created your podcast, you’ll want to start using these channels to get the word out about it. Here are some of the best things you can do to promote your podcast.

Use Twitter

Twitter is the ideal place to promote your podcast, but also to advertise your website.

Here are the steps to follow when it comes to using Twitter to promote your podcast.

Create a Twitter account.

Post a link to your podcast on Twitter.

When a person listens to your podcast, take a screenshot and send it to them.

Creating a new Twitter account takes less than a minute. But be sure to make it appropriate for your business. Some suggestions are:

  • Personal Twitter account
  • Business Twitter account
  • Investor Twitter account
  • Blogger Twitter account
  • Medical Twitter account

Rent-a-domain account

Creating a domain account will help you promote your podcast and all of your other content.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Go to a site like GoDaddy and click on the “Blogging” tab.
  • Next, select “Get Domain Names” and enter the domain name you want to use in the search box.
  • Type in your name, or if you don’t have a name already, use a name that’s relevant to your business.

As I said earlier, social media is one of the best ways to promote your podcast. Using Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn is a great way to reach people interested in what you have to say.

There are a few ways you can do this. The most basic method is to post on Facebook and Twitter every day.

You can also use LinkedIn, LinkedIn Groups, and other content marketing sites to promote your podcast.
